The Tamaracks have a loyal following of serious hunters who appreciate its streamlined upper and high performance sole platform. Now for 2008, Irish Setter has looked to its heritage and added premium Red Wing Shoe Company leather. This top-of-the-line leather is made with US hides at the company’s tannery located near the corporate headquarters in Red Wing, Minnesota. For more than a century, the master tanners at the tannery have been perfecting their craft and producing some of the best leathers in the world. For the Tamaracks, Irish Setter selected waterproof, breathable mottled leathers for a natural camouflage look. A matching leather brushguard adds a functional and traditional style element to the design. A kickplate on the heel protects the leather while assisting with easy boot removal. The Irish Setter Tamarack #4800 is non-insulated and features Desert Ghost leather, ScentBan and a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane. The suggested retail price is $169. At $175, the Tamarack #4801 offers 400 grams of Thinsulate Ultra insulation, Gore-Tex waterproof membrane, ScentBan and all-brown upper with Bean Calico leather. The #4802 Tamarack provides 800 grams of Thinsulate Ultra insulation, ScentBan, Gore-Tex waterproof membrane and Woodland Ghost leather.
